Hey, all…I recently traveled for my “real” job to downtown Kansas City, MO.  It was a great, short flight from Chicago.

When I arrived, it was getting dark, so I could not go sight seeing.  Plus, downtown KC didn’t seem to be the friendliest.  My hotel was kitty corner to a park, so I made plans to visit the next day.

I woke up, had breakfast, and walked across the street to the park.  See below…

See how nice it is?  See the steps which one can skate off?  Lots of smoothe concrete…skateboard trick heaven!  One other thing I noticed…no kids…no skateboarders!

So, further I walked in the park, I found this sign:

NO Skateboarding Allowed

NO Skateboarding Allowed

AHHHH!  My luck.  Too bad.

I saw no cops…what would happen if I broke out my board in the middle of the day????

Skate hard; skate smart

  1. You didn’t skate Barney Allis Plaza…. Over a sign that said no? FYI next time you are in Kc just skate, they have security guards that just ask you to leave.

  2. Not sure what the park’s name was. It’s across the street from the Mariott Downtowm KC. I did break out my old skool 3 days later and went for a little ride…I’ll be in KC again in September. Next time I’ll bring my other board.
